|WHAT DO I DO AFTER RETIREMENT?
Eight months ago I retired from a traveling carrier of 37 years. I said to myself, "Now What"? These words came to me over and over, "Be Still and Know that I am GOD." I had a very active life, how was I going to be still? I felt like a race horse that could not run anymore. With lot's of prayers I was able to quite myself and listen to the Lord. I got my answers by keeping still, and he opened many doors for me.
The biggest door of all was the Benedictine Monastery in NM, I walked through those doors to study spiritual directions, and I came home a totally changed person. The Lord did major surgery on my soul. It's the best place to go for a soul make over. Since then another door has opened for me; I'm working for Catholic seniors.
If you are stuck in the "Now What" like I was, please take my advice: Be still and listen to the lord and take time out for yourself without feeling guilty. Stay centered in Him. If you have difficulties praying, start journaling to Jesus and let GOD love you. You see retirement is the best time of your life; you have time to really listen to him and you have time to really hear him.
Please write us about your journey. Tell us, how is GOD working in your life? Let's share our retirement experiences with others. Write us the "Now What" and the "Now How" of retirement.
Remember everything is possible with GOD.
In HIS loving stillness,
Ms. Retiree Anna Maria
